Mr. Roy Ju is Vice President, Chief Risk Officer for Sagicor Life Insurance Company, and joined the company in 2024. Roy has over 10 years of actuarial and risk management experience. Most recently, he was Chief Product Officer & Chief Actuary at a mature blockchain-enabled, smart insurance product startup. Prior, he was Vice President & Actuary (Enterprise Risk Management) for Prudential where he led actuarial and risk management functions within ERM across all domestic and international lines of business: Annuities, Life Insurance, Pension Risk Transfer, Group Insurance, and Long-term Care--primarily focusing on liability and insurance-related risks. Throughout his career, Roy has had experience in the following risks: insurance, investment (including credit, counterparty, equity), market (including interest rate, fx), asset liability management, liquidity, and strategic risks.

Prior to Prudential, Roy was with Nationwide and Principal Financial Group where he held various actuarial roles rising in scope and responsibilities. Roy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drake University (Des Moines, IA). As well, Roy is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA), and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
