Product Overview
We can’t predict how economic conditions will change during our retirement years. Negative investment returns and volatility can cause difficulties for even the most experienced investors. Sage Accumulator FIA is designed to meet your needs in up and down markets. Your money is protected — you’ll never experience losses, even during market downturns.
Features & Benefits
Sage Accumulator FIA provides growth opportunities through a choice of interest crediting strategies linked to the performance of the S&P 500® Index, three iShares® ETFs from BlackRock or a fixed Declared Rate. These choices allow you to diversify your allocations between a guaranteed rate, options linked to indexes featuring domestic or international exposure, or those with positive environmental, social and governance characteristics.
Sage Accumulator FIA offers:
- You’re guaranteed to never earn less than 0.00%, even during market downturns.
- Sage Accumulator FIA has no front-end charges or annual fees that reduce your account value. However, surrender charges and market value adjustments may apply to some withdrawals.1
- Select an option that works best for you – payments of a fixed dollar amount, payments for a fixed period or payments guaranteed for life.1
- Choose from interest crediting strategies linked to the S&P 500® Index, select iShares ETFs or a guaranteed rate. You can adjust your allocations each year as your objectives change.
- If you’re subject to required minimum distributions, they’re available in all years.2 And beginning in contract year 2, you can take annual 10.00% penalty-free withdrawals.1
- There are no surrender charges if you qualify for the Nursing Home Facility or Confined Care Facility Confinement, or Terminal Illness waivers.3
Footnotes
1Withdrawals prior to age 59½ may be subject to ordinary income tax and a 10.00% IRS tax penalty.
2In the first contract year, the owner may elect to withdraw penalty free an amount up to the contract’s full required minimum distribution (RMD) amount that Sagicor has calculated for the applicable calendar year; and in each contract year after the first, the RMD amount that is available for the owner to elect to withdraw penalty free in that contract year is equal to the contract’s RMD amount that Sagicor has calculated for the applicable calendar year less any amount that in that contract year the owner has already withdrawn penalty free. In each contract year, the total RMD amount that the owner has elected to withdraw penalty free during that contract year will reduce by an equal amount the amount that is available to the owner during that contract year to otherwise withdraw penalty free.
3Not long-term care insurance. Please see the contract to review qualification specifications.
